Education
HHL – Leipzig Graduate School of Management
In September, 2011 I enrolled in the full-time MBA program at HHL – Leipzig Graduate School of Management. HHL is Germany’s oldest business school and consistently ranked as one of the best business schools in Europe. I completed the MBA program in September, 2012 and then shortly afterwards began pursuing my Doctorate degree.
As a Research Associate in the Schumpeter Junior Professorship for Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer, the focus of my doctoral research was on Business Model Innovation. After much deliberation, I decided to leave the Doctorate program early in order to re-enter the corporate world.
Doctorate Candidate (PhD) – Nov, 2012 – Mar 2014
Masters of Business Administration (MBA) – September, 2012
ACTIVITIES
I was heavily involved in Accelerate@HHL, which is a student initiative focused on entrepreneurship. In 2012 we organized our first annual Conference on Social Entrepreneurship, in which I helped in several areas. My primary responsibility was developing and maintaining the website, but I also contributed in marketing, sponsoring and general organization.
I was also a member of the HHL Energy Club, a student initiative involved in exploring trends in the energy industry. We also organized a conference, with 2012’s theme being Smart Cities. While the website design was outsourced, I was responsible coordinating development and maintaining and updating the website.
Another exciting program I was fortunate to participate in is the Energy and Sustainability Week held at MIP Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy. During this week we had coursework in topics such as global sustainability, renewable vs traditional energy as well as business models and investment evaluation tools in the energy industry.
