Andy German Online Resume

Welcome to Andy German…online! If you’ve landed here intentionally, it’s probably because I have sent you my CV in regards to a job opportunity. If you’ve landed here accidentally, well, feel free to look around!

Yours Truly!

I created and developed this site as a way for potential employers, business partners, and other interested parties to learn more about me. This site is intended to be an extension and expansion of what is publicly available on my resume/CV, and to answer some typical questions a hiring manager, recruiter or other HR professional might have.

The links located above in the menu bar, correspond to the sections that are also on my CV, but here I have also added a couple new sections, such as Entrepreneurship, Portfolio, and an FAQ page.

As with any website, this will always be a “work in progress,” as I will try to add new content, features, and functionality to make your browsing experience the best it can be. If you have any comments, criticisms, suggestions, etc, then please feel free to contact me. I am open to anything that can improve the site!

About

Greetings from Florida!I was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, and spent my childhood playing sports, going to the beach and anything else I could do outdoors.

Sports are an important part of my life, and I love to attend live sporting events. Basketball and American Football are my favorites, but I’m a fan of all sports and also follow Tennis, Golf, Baseball and Bundesliga Fußball.

I have a passion for food, and enjoy trying new restaurants, as well as experimenting in the kitchen as much as possible. I love to cook!

Travelling is also something I am passionate about. I love learning about new cultures and meeting people from all over the world. After moving to Germany in 2010, I was able to travel throughout the country extensively as well as to the Czech Republic, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, and Poland. I am hoping to add to that list very soon!

I also try to stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in the areas of entrepreneurship, disruptive technologies, venture financing and the international start-up scene.

Language Capabilities

Languages have always fascinated me. I think it’s amazing to be able to communicate with someone you normally might not have been able to. I hope to continue to expand my horizons and living in Europe was a great place for that.

English

I’m a native English speaker :)

German

When I moved to Germany at the end of February, 2010 I knew absolutely no German. Since then, through a combination of formal instruction, self-learning, and learning “auf der Straße”, my German level is now conversational. Below you can find a copy of my B1 Certificate. I would love to find the time to begin taking some more classes.

Spanish

Growing up I had 10 years of Spanish lessons, and really feel at home with the language. I have not actively used the language in many years, and am extremely out of practice. But I feel if I was living or working in a Spanish speaking environment, I could quickly bring it back up to par.
